Li'l rat ®  size and Push Rod

Li'l rat ®  SIZE:
Our 1.625" diameter camera head, with it's unique egg shape is designed to navigate the most torturous lines.   This unique egg shaped camera head has a maximum diameter of 1.625 inchs for a length that is less than a 1/2" .  Compared to other cameras of similar diameter, whose lengths range from one to 2 or even 3 inches long.  This design allows our camera to navigate even  180 degree bends  in 2" pipe.

Li'l rat ® Push Rod:
Some cameras tout their capabilities of 400 feet of push rod cable.  They try to imply that pushing their camera is possible, up to that length.  The practicalities are that pushing over 100 feet in a 6", 8" or larger pipe is highly questionable, and only feasible under extremely favorable conditions that one rarely sees. We know that we can push ours through many twists and turns over 175 feet, and in favorable conditions to 300 feet but each application can be different.

Additionally they mention the possibility of using non-push-rod cables to much longer lengths.  Perhaps as much as 2000 feet, in larger pipes.  Well the Li'l rat® can be used with our simple inexpensive, light weight, single conductor coaxial cable, easily up to a mile ( 5682 feet), maybe more. We can offer options to provide these for you at much less cost than you might imagine.

Why spend money for a push rod capability you'd never likely be able to use? Choose the length of push rod based on your needs in small pipes, not for their use in mains.    Our camera and battery pac design, will allow you to use it in mains, When you need to, it can connect easily to the SEWER RAT®  video reel, or create your own  reel, or buy one from us, at the length you want.
